Frimley NHS trust staff strike for two days over hived-off ‘tax avoiding’ company

There will be a protest outside the maternity parking entrance at Wexham Park Hospital 6.30-8.30 to support strikers from all three health unions, UNISON, Unite and GMB, which will be followed by an anti-Wholly Owned Subsidiary RALLY in Slough town centre
Rally will gather from 12pm on Monday 18 November at the square on Slough High street. It’s just outside the Queensmere shopping centre.

From 3 to 5 December, a Judicial Review is going ahead into the attempt by local health authorities in Kent to close 3 of the county’s 6 acute stroke units.
This cost-cutting, centralising plan is sternly opposed by local residents, who rightly see it as sacrificing patient care and putting lives at risk.
