This privacy statement sets out how Health Campaigns Together (HCT) collects, uses, and protects any information that you give HCT, and what controls you have over the use of it.

HCT is committed to protecting your privacy. If we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using the website, for example to affiliate your organisation to HCT, it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

What we collect

HCT is the data controller for the data we collect from affiliates and subscribers to our mailing list. We collect the following information from organisations that wish to affiliate to HCT and from individuals who wish to be on the HCT email list:

contact information including email address, postcode and telephone numbers
campaign or trade union branch
or name of the organisation that is affiliating to HCT

When you provide us with this information via email to HCT or our website you are agreeing to the collection and processing of this data for the purposes listed below.

How we use the information we collect

To inform affiliate bodies of meetings and activities of Health Campaigns Together
To inform individuals on our mailing list of HCT and affiliate activities, events and news.
To share information, newsletters, news, and information about NHS events and developments from other pro-NHS organisations affiliated to HCT e.g. Keep Our NHS Public and trade unions.
To help build for events that HCT is supporting including sharing information about affiliated groups.
For the purposes of internal record keeping
To get feedback, views and opinions of affiliates to inform our policy and practice.

Our website is hosted by an external company. Information that you submit to HCT via a website enquiry form is held securely by our website supplier in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1988.

We store personal information on a password protected Google Drive and on the password protected platform Sendin Blue accessed by HCT officers only.

HCT will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to unaffiliated third parties unless we have your permission.

Security

HCT is committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we secure the information we collect online. Your personal data is held by the HCT officers under password protected electronic systems.

Links to other websites

Our website contains links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, HCT cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

You can request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please email the HCT Secretary at healthcampaignstogether@gmail.com

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible, at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
